Merlin

The Merlin (Falco columbarius) is a small, agile falcon that has successfully adapted to urban environments, thriving in cities by nesting in ornamental trees and parks while hunting abundant House Sparrows and other small birds.

Our Merlin is a small fixed blade suited for discreet pocket carry, great for offices or around town when you don’t want to broadcast you’re carrying a knife.

Built from experience.

Though we only recently started naming designs, the Merlin has been our longest running model that has seen the most hands. Over the years I’ve upgraded the process of making these from cutting out from old saw blades, to grinding a bar of steel, and then having blanks cut on waterjet to provide greater consistency and less waste.

Compact & useful.

We have referred to this as our signature EDC (Every Day Carry) design in the past. This knife was designed for that exact purpose, small enough to be concealed in your pocket and still have an ergonomic fit. With a less than 3 inch blade, and roughly 6 inch overall length, this knife is well suited for daily needs.

Version 2.0.

Recently the Merlin has undergone a design change. The goal was to make the handle slimmer for an even better pocket carry experience. Additionally the belly of the handle was smoothed down to soften the looks.
