Whether hand forged or stock removal, it starts with applying the design to steel and getting it to shape. However, the best designs come from starting with a purpose and working backwards to plan out how it is to be built.
Heart of the knife.
There are multiple decisions to consider when designing a knife, and they mostly revolve around the blade itself. Geometry is tailored to suit the purpose of the knife. Steel is selected to provide the best properties needed. Unique heat treatment is performed to maximize the results.
This is a great benefit to manufacturing in small batches as it allows for going beyond large scale standard practices and pushing the boundaries.

The most common feedback received for our handcrafted knives is how naturally they fit your grip.
Far too many knives are made with flat scales just rounded at the edges. Our knives are fully contoured for ergonomics and to feel as they just belong in the palm of your hand or in a pinch grip between your fingers.
