This listing is for a completely handmade fixed blade knife made from Pop’s ProCut steel with Lignum Vitae wood handle scales, white G10 & natural brown micarta liners, and micarta pins. The knife includes a leather belt carry sheath.
ProCut is a high carbon steel with simple alloy, which means it is easier to sharpen & maintain. The steel properties were specifically created to make blades that cut well, as the name suggests. Pushing the limits of high hardness, great toughness and still user friendly.
Lignum Vitae is a wood that the surface darkens with age and exposure to UV light. It will change from a light tan with almost yellowish hue, to a greenish brown that almost resembles a copper patina. Commonly used in marine applications, it makes a very dense and suitable knife handle with natural beauty. Polishing with light abrasive will replenish the original color if desired, but aged wood will tell a story.
